I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and have recently received
her 200 hour RYT at Open space with Shelley Christopherson and Margo
Sorum. I began my journey with yoga at the age of 16, but truly fell
in love with the practice and teachings of yoga four years ago. By
incorporating yoga into my life, I created the mantra “be
thoughtful, mindful, joyful and kind” for myself.
Practicing yoga, the people and the experiences that yoga has brought
into my life has helped guide me and discover happiness, self love,
acceptance, and peace with my journey through this wonderful adventure
that is life. I am ecstatic to be able to share that joy and
experience with other people and with you.
My practice incorporates a slower Vinyasa style flow with deep
stretches and longer holds that allow students to link their breath
with movement and additional time to really marinate and settle deeply
into their poses and personal practice.
In my free time, rain, snow or sunshine, you can find me bagging
peaks, fly fishing or exploring the variety of yoga classes this
lovely community has to offer. I also enjoys hitting the trails with
my Siberian Husky, Juno.
