Intersections of Domestic Violence and Homelessness

6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21_Houseless, east wing, level 1_ Join us the first of three Friday evening lectures presented by AWAIC. Tonight, we explore how domestic violence contributes to homelessness. For years, advocates have known that domestic violence is a primary cause of homelessness for women and families. Discussion centers the issues faced by survivors of domestic violence, who often are forced to leave the security of a home with little time to gather important documents and possessions and nowhere else to turn. Audience participation is encouraged. Free with advance registration.
