Description STARFISH SWIMMING LESSONS (3–12-YEAR-OLDS) Swim School and Stroke School Please Note : November 1 1th is a federal holiday and there will not be a lesson on this day. ATTENDANCE POLICY: Anyone missing the first day of class, must email the facilities’ Pool Manager prior to the start of the class in order to not be automatically dropped from the class session. Saturday, before the first day of lessons, participants will receive a reminder email of the upcoming swim lesson, attendance policy and the email address of the Pool Manager. When the first day of class is missed without prior written notification, the next person on the waitlist will be notified of the open spot. The City of Phoenix has a streamlined, swim lesson registration process for Starfish Swim Lessons. You will simply select the session dates and time you would like to attend, and our talented team will do the rest! On the first day of lessons, certified Swim Lesson Instructors will perform swim testing on each participant; assessing swimming abilities based on the Starfish Swimming Lessons Benchmarks (see below). Your child will then be placed in the appropriate class, with similarly skilled children. Class ratios will be 1 instructor to no more than 6 children. _STARFISH SWIM SCHOOL BENCHMARKS FOR COMPLETION OF LEVEL_ * WHITE STAR BENCHMARK 1 Easily can submerge entire face and body * RED STAR BENCHMARK 2 Independent floating on front and back.
