South Central Extension/Downtown Hub Opening Celebration

Join Valley Metro and the City of PHOENIX for a community CELEBRATION AS WE ADD 5.5 new miles of light rail service with the OPENING OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL EXTENSION/DOWNTOWN HUB!Festivities will be taking place at three locations along the route including: -Downtown Hub (CityScape): 1 E. Washington St. -Ed Pastor Transit Center: 10 W. Broadway Rd. -Baseline/Central Ave Park-and-Ride: 7436 S. Central Ave. What to expect: -? Cruisin' on Central community procession (7:45 AM - 8:30 AM) -Local performances and entertainment -First Ride opportunity (following 9:15 AM ribbon cutting) -Family-friendly activities at all three locations -Low rider car show at Ed Pastor Transit Center -Local food vendors -Local business pop-ups -Commemorative Copper cards and Cruisin' Central swag Light rail service along the South Central Extension begins at 9:30 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony and first rides at the Baseline/Central Ave. station.
