VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - INFORMATION SESSION

Does the idea of learning how to do basic taxes, helping your community and developing new job skills appeal to you? If the answer is yes, then join us at our next Information Session where you will learn more about the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. No tax experience is required to join our VITA team, we offer FREE training either in a classroom or online. Classroom training sessions are offered at various locations and times November through January. At the end of the training you will become an IRS Certified Tax Preparer. Other volunteer positions and trainings are also available. Once you complete your training we ask you to volunteer 4 hours per week during the upcoming 2020 tax season (mid-January to mid-April) at one of our 17 VITA sites throughout the city of Phoenix, assisting low and limited income families by preparing their tax returns for free. As a VITA volunteer, you will be a part of a nationwide team that has helped millions of people file tax returns at no charge while gaining valuable skills.
