GCU HAS RECEIVED YOUR FAFSA AND YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR VERIFICATION. Verification is a process used to verify the accuracy of the information submitted on the FAFSA. Some students are selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education and others are selected by the school. It is imperative that you complete this process as soon as possible and we want to help walk you through the steps!

**If you are not able to attend you must connect with your admissions counselor ASAP as verification needs to be completed by May 1st**

WHERE: GCU Soccer Stadium Classroom, Building 9 (#9 on map below)

*Check-In will be on backside between Buidling 9 & 22

WHEN: Thursday, 2/22/18 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm

WHAT: A workshop to help you and your family start the Verification Process. You will be able to receive help completing:

1. FAFSA Verification documents

2. Submit supporting documentation needed for verification (tax-transcripts, W2's, etc.) *Please ask your admissions counselor what required supporting documents you need to bring.

3. Receive help beginning the steps to accept your FAFSA Financial Aid online

4. Review your GCU Estimated Budget sheet with your counselor

**This is a come and go event from 4:30 to 7:30PM.** (You do not have to arrive at 4:30)

FOOD: FREE DINNER WILL BE PROVIDED by Qdoba

GCU BASKETBALL GAME: You will receive FREE optional tickets to attend the GCU Lopes basketball game VS Seattle U the same evening at 7pm.

**PARKING: Please park at the HALO Parking garage (#15 on map) near 35th Ave and Missouri.**

Why am I being invited to this workshop?

As of this week GCU has received your financial aid information and you have been selected for Verification. Verification is a process used to verify the accuracy of the information submitted on the FAFSA. Some students are selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education. Others are selected by the school. It is imperative that you complete the requested information and requested documentation as soon as possible. Processing usually takes 30 days but could take longer at the start of a new aid year. Because verification must be completed in advance of disbursing any money from any financial aid program, it is vital to send complete and correct information as quickly as possible.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Please park at the HALO Parking Garage (#15 on the map) between Camelback and Missouri on 35th Ave.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please contact your Admissions Counselor, who invited you to the event, via email or cell phone.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not need to bring a printed ticket. Please Check-in at the table at the event.

What if I am unable to attend?

If you cannot attend, you must connect with your admissions counselor ASAP as verification needs to be completed by May 1st.
