Amy SILVERMAN (_My Heart Can't Even Believe It_) and DEBORAH SUSSMAN
(ASU's Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts) present a
ten-session WORKSHOP SERIES.
Motherhood is the only experience necessary in this WORKSHOP FOR
WRITERS OF ALL AGES AND LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE. From published authors
to secret journal-keepers, "MOTHERS WHO WRITE" offers prompts and
advice to get you started, as well as a constructive, comfortable
setting in which to WORKSHOP YOUR WRITING.

ABOUT THE HOSTS
AMY SILVERMAN IS A FREELANCE JOURNALIST BASED IN ARIZONA. She holds a
master of science degree from the Columbia University Graduate School
of Journalism and is an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State
University's Cronkite School of Journalism and has co-taught _Mothers
Who Write_ with DEBORAH SUSSMAN FOR MORE THAN A DOZEN YEARS. She's a
commentator for KJZZ, the PHOENIX NPR affiliate, and her work has
appeared on "This American Life" and in publications including _The
New York Times_, _The Washington Post_, _Brain_, _Child_ and salon.com

DEBORAH SUSSMAN RECEIVED AN MA IN ENGLISH/creative WRITING FROM
HOLLINS UNIVERSITY AND AN MFA IN FICTION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF
VIRGINIA. She has taught WRITING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA,
PHOENIX College and Arizona State University, and she co-teaches the
WRITING WORKSHOP _Mothers Who Write_ with Amy SILVERMAN. Once upon a
time an editor at Scholastic, SUSSMAN IS THE COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA
SPECIALIST FOR ASU'S HERBERGER INSTITUTE FOR DESIGN AND THE ARTS. Her
WRITING HAS BEEN PUBLISHED IN _The Washington Post_, _The New York
Times_, _Phoenix New Times_ and _Art in America_, among other places.
