Summit participants and guests have an opportunity to see first-hand
what can be done to improve LANDSCAPES IMPACTED BY HISTORIC MINING.
Building on the themes discussed during the AML Summit, participants
will discuss how the nuances of site characterization, project
planning, success metrics and stakeholder collaboration led to
successful outcomes at each site.Some walking and light hiking will be
involved at some locations, so please come prepared and dress
accordingly (sturdy close-toed shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen,
etc.).
The tentative tour itinerary is provided below. Updates will be
available on the MMSA website and field trip tour packets will be
distributed on April 1st.

BHP will give a presentation about the historic mining area, its BHP
legacy sites and provide an overview of past and ongoing reclamation
activities.
