ARIZONA WAS RECENTLY SELECTED TO TAKE PART IN A RESIDENTIAL ENERGY
CODE FIELD STUDY, with funding support from the U.S. Department of
Energy (DOE). The purpose of the FIELD STUDY IS TO DETERMINE WHAT
IMPACT RESIDENTIAL ENERGY CODES HAVE ON HOME ENERGY SAVINGS. This
project will include a baseline FIELD ASSESSMENT OF RESIDENTIAL
CONSTRUCTION AND FREE EDUCATION, training, outreach, and technical
assistance for builders, code officials, trades, and others involved
in the RESIDENTIAL HOUSING MARKET.This meeting is a kick off for this
work. The Institute for Market Transformation (IMT), along with other
project partners, will present an overview of the project work, review
the sampling plan, and begin to discuss education needs. Key
stakeholders in Arizona are asked to attend to understand the work
over the next 3 years, ask questions and provide feedback to the
project team.
