Just a boy trying to melt your heart through music.
Beginning in 2014 with his debut EP “The City “ EP released via
Australia’s forward thinking ,Die High Records, StéLouse quickly
began to make a name for himself in the upcoming new wave of
electronic music. Followed by well received remixes for the likes of
Doja Cat, Jaymes Young, Rozes and a top 8 pick win for ODESZA’s
“Say My Name” remix contest on WAVO, helped cement StéLouse’s
presence in the growing electronic scene.Early plugs from industry
blogs like Billboard, Pigeons & Planes, Stoney Roads, and THUMP, along
with support from well known acts such as Bassnectar, Alison
Wonderland, Louis The Child and Zed’s Dead also signaled the rise of
this budding producer.StéLouse’s 2016 collaboration with MYRNE,
“Call Me”, saw over 1 million streams in under one month of
release on Soundcloud. Followed up later that year by a string of
singles leading to his 2017 full length-self titled album on
Casablanca/Republic Records. Always unbound by genres, the album was a
continued departure from his previous productions, leaning into the
experimental side of pop/electronic, showcasing his songwriting
sensibility and versatility as a true artist/producer with
vision. After being tapped by well known multiplatinum hit-maker, Ryan
Tedder, to assist in productions for other artists, StéLouse
continued to refine his sound and soon saw his collaborative effort
with singer Bryce Fox, titled “Sociopath”, has had over 40M
streams across platforms and was added to alternative radio stations
KTCL in Denver and LIVE 105 in the Bay area, proving the crossover
ability of his music beyond just the electronic realm.StéLouse soon
introduced his live set up at Lightning In A Bottle festival in Spring
of 2017, featuring a live band and the use of more traditional
instruments wrapped around the electronic format. The live band set
continued through 2017 with other key plays at Electric Forest and
Moonrise Festival. A slew of singles released on Steve Aoki’s Dim
Mak Records in 2018 was followed with a small headline tour and a
support outing with electronic artist Haywyre, after which StéLouse
departed from the scene to rebrand his sound and work on his sophomore
LP, Bad Star, due out Fall 2019! Forever pushing the boundaries and
challenging the culture, StéLouse continues to create in a lane of
his own.
