Capnography for the Prehospital Care

 SCOPE: This seminar is appropriate for Paramedics and First Responders. Conference material will provide attendees a better understanding of the use of capnography in pre-hospital care. OBJECTIVES: *  EXPLAIN WHAT CAPNOGRAPHY IS *  EXPLORE THE PATHOLOGY FOR EXHALED CARBON DIOXIDE. *  RECOGNIZE THE FIELD USES FOR CAPNOGRAPHY FOR BOTH INTUBATED AND NON-INTUBATED PATIENTS. *  CONNECT THE UNDERLYING PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF VENTILATION AND METABOLISM TO NORMAL AND ABNORMAL WAVEFORMS.
