When I was growing up, every year my parents would design a new Rosh
Hashana card and send out at least a hundred of them to far-flung
friends and family. The cards we received in return were then used to
decorate the walls of our Sukkah a few weeks later. (True story,
although sometimes their card went out closer to Hanukkah time.) So
we’re bringing it all back home this year, and reinvesting ourselves
in the age old practice of crafting, writing, and SENDING (sometimes
the hardest part) New Years cards. We’ll learn some Rosh Hashana
related Torah and with that as our inspiration (or anything else you
want to put on your cards) create some tactile gestures of care (in
the form of snail mail) to share with friends and family, blessing
them from afar as we enter the New Year. We’ll provide lots of card
MAKING MATERIALS, inspiration, and stamps (and probably some baked
goods, b/c that’s how we are); all you need to bring is your amazing
self, and some addresses! RSVP required; Cost is $15 per person / $25
per family/couple/pair of friendsCan’t afford the cost? Email us
your RSVP to adina@atiqmakers.org and join us anyway!
