-------
Biodanza, which means "dance of life," is a healing and deeply
restorative personal growth practice. It is relaxing for our nervous
system, helps loosen and free our bodies, opens our hearts, and
deepens our connection with ourselves, each other, community, and all
of life.
Biodanza has been truly life-changing for me and continues to be a
wellspring of joy, healing, and community in my life. After nearly 18
years of practicing Biodanza and writing about the ecological wisdom
of Biodanza in my dissertation, I am delighted to finally open a
weekly group to share this amazing practice with you!
Weekly classes integrate carefully selected, inspiring music from
around the world with invigorating and gentle movement exercises. No
prior dance or movement experience necessary! Biodanza doesn’t
require specific steps, and there is no right or wrong. Come as you
are!
Grounded in ecological principles and the wisdom of nature,
anthropology, psychology, and human biology, Biodanza was originally
created in Latin America 50 years ago and has quickly spread around
the world. It is now practiced on five continents by hundreds of
thousands of participants each week.
