Want a relaxed, inclusive space to explore what MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS ARE ABOUT? We invite you to practice in a peer-led CIRCLE WHERE WE OPENLY EXPLORE A FULL RANGE OF EXPERIENCE. Practicing in CIRCLE PROVIDES A SUPPORTIVE SPACE TO CULTIVATE CURIOSITY ABOUT YOUR OWN MIND AND ACT MORE FULLY IN ACCORD WITH YOUR OWN VALUES AND CONCERNS.The Form: Practitioners will settle and be given the opportunity to check in, sharing where their mind is at lately to fully arrive in the space with each other. There will then be a meditation practice of about 25 minutes. We will close with the option to share what came up for us or ask questions to the circle afterward. Each week, a different community member from our Mindful Living resident program will facilitate the meditation with their own personal flavor. Regular attendees may be invited to also lead. About the practice and teachers: We will be practicing with an approach called Full Presence Mindfulness, an all-inclusive approach to understanding our minds and the world we live in. We will offer an undisturbed and supportive space to investigate, and you will learn a way to act more fully in accord with your own values and concerns. Full Presence grows out of teachings developed for the West by Tibetan lama Tarthang Tulku. Jack Petranker, a close student of Tarthang Tulku, developed Full Presence Mindfulness starting in 2014. Jack has over 40 years of experience teaching meditation, mindfulness, and explorations in consciousness after his career in academia and law. This group was initiated by Adrian Roman, who has been studying Full Presence with Jack Petranker since 2017. In addition to the Full Presence Mindfulness, Adrian is trained in inclusive facilitation and has been practicing meditation since 2014. Logistics: Participation in the practice group is offered for no fee, in order to make them available to the widest possible audience. Donations accepted.
