Kremer has proven to be that rare virtuoso of both canonic and
contemporary repertoire. He and Trifonov play a recital of mature
Mozart, elaborate Schubert, and Philip Glass's hypnotic sonata from
2008. Kremer ranks Soviet composer Weinberg's little-known but
"startlingly impressive" (The Guardian, UK) third violin sonata as one
of the masterpieces for the instrument.
