Violinist Nicola Benedetti coaches students from the UC Berkeley
Department of Music in a master class for soloists and small
ensembles. Works on the program include the first movement of
Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 3 in D minor, Op. 108; the third movement
of Lalo’s Symphonie espagnole in D Minor, Op. 21; and the third
movement of Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 47. Free
