This will be a no reservation’s, go lite, RIDING / CAMPING TRIP. 4
days of RIDING, 3 nights of CAMPING IN SOME REALLY NICE SPOTS. 27
hours of saddle time. Night one camp at Antelope lake. Night 2 at
Curly Jacks campground on the klamath River. Night 3 at Arthur W. Way
county park on the Lost COAST’s Mattole River. Advance reservations
are a waist of time. They say online “no campsites available” but
when you arrive, plenty of sites are available on a first come first
serve basis. One person tents, basic cooking setup. Stop at a market
before camp, buy food for dinner / breakfast, ice & beer. Arrive at
our campsite by 5 pm. Set camp, swim, make dinner, campfire, kickback,
hydrate. We get up early, make coffee / breakfast, and a Sando for
lunch or we can just stop along the way if the obvious presents
itself. I’m wanting to keep the group to 4 or 5 OW members. It’s
hard to fit more into a campsite safely with the virus This is
absolutely the safest way to go.Whole route with campsite’s pegged.

Before you RSVP for a Sierra multi day ride, you must own the proper
experience, the proper bike and the proper gear.** If you’re not
clear about any of this, I’m glad to chat with you anytime so you
know what you need, what to expect and what’s expected of you. RSVP
Cutoff 8/4. Ride limited to 4 Oakland Weekday+ riders. If RSVP is
full, join the waitlist. August 4th is the cutoff date so you will
know then if you’re going.
Until such time as we are totally passed this pandemic, please respect
other members of the group and those that we come in to contact with
by using best practices and wearing a mask when your helmet comes off
and practicing responsible social distancing. Assume someone in the
group is asymptotic and contagious. Keep your guard up. Hand sanitizer
should be used for your own personal safety after touching publicly
accessed items. I will have extra face-masks and hand sanitizer for
those that honestly forgot. Let’s show our caring and respect for
others by not getting complacent and doing the right thing.
