Spats UC Berkeley Run

We will meet at Spats in Berkeley and run the perimeter of the campus once or twice and return for beer. The campus perimeter is 2.5 miles and offers a bit of an incline.

Once a month we visit a venue that does not have a strong craft beer focus. Spats has a small, but good selection of craft (Fieldwork, Bear Republic, Fort Point, etc), but they are also a full bar for those who prefer cocktails.

If weather allows, the roof in the party room at Spats will be opened up and we ll have an outdoor space.

Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost (printed and or chalked directions are often provided beforehand) and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome!

While the route is mostly lit, we recommend bringing headlamps or flashlights. We will hand out glow bands before the run to help increase your visibility.

The meeting time is at 6:30pm, but we typically don t leave until 6:40pm.

Spats is located within a 5 minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART and bike parking is available. Street parking can be limited in this area so please make an effort to arrive early or take public transit. There are also parking garages located within a half mile of the bar.
