Using GELATIN PLATES WE’ll explore the process of mono printing, a
method of printmaking where no two prints will pull the same. We'll
explore a variety of methods to create images that emphasize texture,
composition, and layering. This process lends itself to bookmaking,
collage, and much more paper based art!
We will provide pre-made GELATIN PLATES AND REQUEST YOU BRING:
- Variety of paper (different textures will be more fun to play with!)
- Flat found objects (plants, strings, paper cut outs, clementine
bags, anything textured/flat will work)
- Acrylic paint
- Brayer (we have two but if you have one bring it!)
- Newspaper
- A snack!
Although neither are from LOS ANGELES originally, Anshika and Kathleen
found one another here and have since been brought together by a
mutual love of plants, art, and everything in between. Guided by a
desire to make the most out of the life they have been given and to
share that with others, both enjoy capturing ghosts and making them
little hats in case the ghosts’ unfulfilled desire is to own a very
small hat. They are just trying to take it one day at a time. Contact
