Shoshanna MarksBerkeley, CA – GALLERY 2727 IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE
THE UPCOMING ART EXHIBITION, “WATER,” showcasing the works of the
2727 Artist Co-op. The EXHIBITION WILL RUN FROM MAY 2 TO MAY 25, 2025
at GALLERY 2727, located at 2727 California Street, BERKELEY,
California 94703. “WATER” is an EXHIBITION THAT CELEBRATES THE
MUTABLE NATURE OF WATER AS AN IDEA AND A MEDIUM. WATER IS CHANGEABLE
AS THE SEASONS AND AS OUR EMOTIONS, providing a symbol for
transformation and change, nourishment, emotion, and the divine. Still
WATERS RUN DEEP, yet in creative work, “being in the flow” is a
moment of connection and transcendent making, evoking the sense of
nature allowed to move abundantly unimpeded. The artists of GALLERY
2727 WILL EXHIBIT works that show these myriad qualities, prismatic
and vivid as any lights upon WATER. Throughout the EXHIBITION PERIOD,
the 2727 Artist Co-op is proud to present a series of workshops,
concerts, artist talks, and community events to showcase and celebrate
their work. In co-op member Francesca Borgatta’s workshops, guests
of all ages will be invited to create portions of a collaborative
coral reef sculpture for display in the EXHIBITION. Please check our
website 2727.today or sign up for our newsletter to hear more! An
opening reception will be held on May 2 from 6PM – 8PM, providing an
opportunity for visitors to meet the artists and experience the
EXHIBITION FIRSTHAND. Admission to the EXHIBITION AND RECEPTION IS
FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. About 2727 Artist Co-op: We are a
collective of local artists exhibiting regularly at our space in
BERKELEY, CA. Formerly a corner store, the beloved neighborhood staple
has transformed into a pillar of the arts in the community. The public
regularly contributes to the space, exhibiting everything from visual
to performing arts. Member artists regularly host EXHIBITIONS,
displaying a diverse body of work that approaches the world from a
number of perspectives. The space hosts free and low cost workshops,
helping other artists refine their crafts and engaging the local
community in art-making. Emphasis is on emerging artists, local
artists, and artists from under-represented groups who have had less
opportunity to show their work. GALLERY 2727 IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
FRIDAYS FROM 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00
pm to 5:00 pm. GALLERY 2727 IS COMMITTED TO PROMOTING INNOVATIVE AND
THOUGHT-provoking art that fosters a deeper understanding of the world
around us. For more information about “WATER” and GALLERY 2727,
