The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) Performing Arts Division (PERF)
presents the second annual
Language of the Cosmos
, a three-day exhibition of performances, multi-media installations, and community workshops inspired by the wonders, sounds, and visuals of the universe.
Language of the Cosmos
welcomes nine commissioned artists and youth development organizations to share their work and knowledge at Taxco Theatre in Canoga Park—a neighborhood with a long history of supporting the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space program.
Language of the Cosmos
celebrates the intersection of art and science through a partnership with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The nine artists and organizations include:

JPL was founded in 1936 and has a rich history of encouraging, cultivating, and nurturing artists. NASA JPL’s scientific exploration of the Earth, solar system, and beyond has served as a resource for artists to unlock creativity and communicate the inspiration of science through nonconventional methods.
