Join us for a 3-hour Sunday afternoon ‘Tour of Spain’ that will
cover the factors that make the wines of Spain so unique, including
geography, soils, varieties, climate, viticulture and winemaking
techniques. We will learn about the main still appellations, grape
varieties that thrive in each appellation and the primary still wine
types: red, white and rosé. This will be a comprehensive presentation
by Spanish native Monica Marin, DWS – Accredited Educator by the
Wine Scholar Guild’s Spanish Scholar program. Class includes 3 hours
of tuition, tasting of more than 10 wines, Spanish cheese &
charcuterie. All levels welcome! This class will cover red, white and
rosé wines from: Rias Baixas, Basque Country, Rioja, Ribera de Duero,
Cataluña, Mediterranean Coast, the Meseta Central area and a few new
appellations you might have never tried before. This tasting will
illustrate the regional differences and highlighting all that makes
Spain one of the most up and coming wine producing countries in the
world. 72-hour cancellation policy applies for this class.
