Description Internet Registration has not begun yet. Check
Registration Dates in details. This dynamic and engaging martial arts
class introduces children to the fundamentals of martial arts,
blending techniques from karate, judo, taekwondo, and more. Students
will learn basic kicks, punches, blocks, and stances while developing
essential life skills like focus, discipline, respect, and
self-confidence. The class emphasizes non-contact, age-appropriate
training that prioritizes safety and fun, while also incorporating
exercises to improve strength, coordination, and flexibility. Each
session includes a warm-up, technique instruction, and games or drills
that reinforce skills. Our goal is to build physical fitness, instill
confidence, and foster respect for oneself and others—values that
last a lifetime! Registration Requirement: Please ensure that your
child is registered for the class to participate. Parent/Guardian
Supervision: For the safety of all participants, a parent or guardian
must be present in the building at all times if your child is under 12
years of age. 3. Punctuality: It's important to be on time for the
class. If you're 10 minutes or later, unfortunately, you will not be
allowed to join the class. 4. Attendance Policy: Attendance for the
first class is mandatory. Failure to attend the first class will
result in being dropped from the class roster. Please email us if your
child is ill and can’t make the class, so we can let the instructor
know. 5. Attendance Monitoring: If your child misses two or more
classes without valid reasons, they will be removed from the class
roster, and another member from the waiting list will be given the
opportunity to join. 6. Waiting List Protocol: Being on the waiting
list does not guarantee a spot in the class. However, you are welcome
to show up for the class. If there are absent members and available
space, you will be allowed to join. As part of our ongoing efforts to
improve communication and ensure that you receive timely updates,
notifications, and cancellations related to your child's activities at
North Valley Family YMCA, we kindly request that you review and update
the email address associated with your child's account. Having an
accurate and up-to-date email address on file is crucial for keeping
you informed about any changes or important announcements regarding
your child's participation in our programs. Sub-Activities Karate I:
