Please read entire page :) 5- Week Accelerated Surf Training Beginners only Five consecutive Saturdays September 19 - October 17 11:15am -12:45pm (1.5 hour coaching sessions) 4 people max This is a Co-Ed event Coaching sessions will be held anywhere between OB and Encinitas depending on the conditions for the day ***Recommended Skill Level *** - None to very little surf experience - None to very little paddling skills (must be able to swim) - Can't popup or popup using knee Group coaching sessions will be specifically held in the inside learning how to surf broken waves (white foam) only ***What You Will Learn *** - Proper popup technique - Functional paddling techniques - Effective techniques of handling board through surf - Going over and under waves to reach the outside - Wave reading - Surf etiquette - Identifying tides - Identifying types of swell - Understanding tide charts - Understanding surf forecasts -and much more... Beginners with fiberglass boards please take private lessons. If you are 6' or above in height and/or over 170 lbs you will need a 9' or 10' board.
