We will meet at Big 5 in Davis and leave promptly by 6:30 am. This is
a long urban hike with a lot of elevation, so please be prepared! It
is 18+ miles with a total of 3500 feet of elevation. We will explore
many areas of San Francisco on both pavement and trails. There will be
opportunities to stop early, if you can't do the entire mileage, but
you would have to find your way back to the starting point in San
Francisco where cars are parked via public transportation, Lyft, or
walking back. Please pack a lunch and wear good walking, running, or
hiking shoes. You don't need heavy duty hikers. No one will be left
behind; we will stop and wait and regroup as necessary. Plan to be
gone all day. I cannot give an estimate on the time we will be back in
Davis, since much depends on how many people go and how fast we are
able to walk. Dogs on leash are welcome, if your dog can handle the
distance.
