Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and eat a lot of water. Drinking water will flush your system out and also allows your body to rehydrate itself. Drink enough water so that you do not feel thirsty during the day. You do not want to go without water during your workouts or the entire day. Dehydration is very dangerous, because your body does not know what to do. When you are dehydrated, you can begin to lose muscle mass and your appetite is also suppressed. These two things can seriously affect your health, especially when you have nothing to eat. There are extreme cases where a person has gone without food and water for more than thirty days. This can really add up if not properly monitored. Even on a regular basis, you can feel the symptoms of dehydration because your body cannot metabolize the sodium in the water. Avoid eating processed foods high in fat. Eat natural foods such as fruits and vegetables. It is also best to drink lots of water when you exercise to keep your body hydrated. If you are someone who does not like to drink fluids, then you will have to take electrolytes or sports drinks. If you are already dealing with stomach problems, you can get more vitamins and minerals by eating these foods rather than taking sports drinks. You will be able to reap the benefits of the extra nutrients that you get from these foods. The vitamins and minerals you get from eating these foods are going to fight off your stomach problems, which means you will be able to work out longer and harder. Feeling nauseous after a workout is a sign that your body is in need of some medication. If you do not feel well after a workout, it is always best to see a doctor and get the problem treated right away.
