Join us Sunday, March 29th for an intimate evening with Mala Muñoz leads a conversation-based self-defense class. This self-defense class is a focused class that explores rape culture and violence against women on college campuses. This class includes a discussion of Title IX, campus reporting options, and introductory physical self-defense basics for college students.
Mala is a podcaster, writer, and co-founder of Locatora Radio. She has a professional background as a sex educator, self-defense instructor, and state-certified rape crisis counselor-advocate. Her self-defense workshops are informed by her experience working as an advocate on the Emergency Response Team at Peace Over Violence. She has written about Latinx media representation and rape culture in the Latinx community for VIBE & Everyday Feminism.
