Faith & Finances - 2020 Fresno Training

The _Faith & Finances_ TRAINING WILL BEGIN WITH AN ONLINE CLASS, from April 27th to May 27th. This will be a self-paced online TRAINING PORTION Unpacking the principles of effective poverty alleviation and adult education. It will then be followed by a 2-day live TRAINING HOSTED AT FRESNO PACIFIC UNIVERSITY'S SEMINARY, on June 5th and 6th. You will practice facilitating the course and using the curriculum with other ministry leaders. ------------------------- SUMMARY OF FAITH & FINANCES _Faith & Finances_ is a biblically-integrated financial education program designed for low- to moderate-income individuals. The Chalmers Center trains church and ministry leaders to use the 12-week _Faith & Finances_ curriculum to shape a concrete financial education ministry plan tailored for their own contexts. Ministries using _Faith & Finances_ in a variety of contexts are exploring the foundational truths that God has created everyone with dignity, gifts, and resources, and He wants to use them to accomplish His work in the world. The training equips ministry and lay leaders with: 1. A ministry plan for financial education tailored to their unique settings; 2. An easy-to-prepare and teach Facilitator Guide and accompanying Participant Guide; and 3. proven, practical ways to walk with low-income people in managing money.
