WORLD THINKING DAY CELEBRATES THE DIVERSITY, equity, and inclusion
reflected in our global movement. World Thinking Day is a day for
international friendship. It is an opportunity for Girl Scouts to
learn more about our worldwide sisterhood of Girl Guiding and Girl
Scouting.
Is your Troop interested in hosting a booth at our 2020 World Thinking
Day? Please check our Country List listed by the Regions and select
the country your Troop would like to represent at our 2020 World
Thinking Day.
EACH COUNTRY WILL NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
1.) DISPLAY (BOARD, PICTURES, COSTUMES, ETC.)
2.) SWAP (THAT REPRESENTS YOUR COUNTRY)
3.) PASSPORT STAMP/STICKER (THAT REPRESENTS YOUR COUNTRY)
4.) FOOD AND/OR ACTIVITY (YOU MUST INCLUDE EITHER A FOOD OR ACTIVITY
OR BOTH IF YOU'D LIKE)
5.) AND TWO GIRLS TO BEAR YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG IN OUR OPENING CEREMONY
PLEASE REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:
• PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ARRIVE PROMPTLY. SET UP WILL BEGIN AT 8:00 AM
AND THE EVENT STARTS AT 1:00 PM
• EXPECT TO 1,000 GUESTS TO ATTEND SO PLAN ACCORDINGLY
• CLOSED TOED SHOES ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS.
• YOUR COUNTRY'S BOOTH MUST HAVE AN ADULT CHAPERONE AT IT AT ALL
TIMES

We are requesting a $50.00 deposit which will include the use of your
country's flag. All country flags will be provided by Council. After
event is over and the country's flag has been returned to Council you
will be reimbursed the $50.00. Please keep in mind that if you are
preparing food you will need to take into consideration any food
allergies and/or latex allergies when using gloves.
DEADLINE TO SELECT YOUR COUNTRY IS: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2019
LEVEL: ALL LEVELS
MAXIMUM: 150 COUNTRIES TO CHOOSE FROM
Transfers, cancellations or refund requests must be made 7 days prior
to the event. There are no refunds after the deadline or closing date
of the event.
