THE SMOKES: No gimmicks, no pyrotechnics – just a single suggestion and these friends of (gulp) twenty years put on an amazing improvised show.

Showbiz credits include: screenwriter of The Heat, co-author of the Broadway musical Beetlejuice, star/co-creator of Playing House, staff writer for Big Mouth, series regular of Superstore, founders of at least two improv schools, voice-over artist in a million cartoons, producer of the hit show Makin’ It, but most relevant: having done improv on stage for 20 years.

THE BIG TEAM (formerly known as White Women) is an improv team of all black men based in Los Angeles. Formed after meeting at the UCB Black History Month Show in 2013, this team has been featured at theaters all over Los Angeles and the country, having headlined festivals in Portland, DC, Austin, NYC, and more.

Collectively they have written and produced videos for Comedy Central, College Humor and Funny or Die, and individually they’ve written and acted in a lot of your favorite TV shows. They were named on Vulture’s annual list of “Comedians You Should and Will Know” in 2018.
