Born on the East Coast and raised in the West, meet Kobie Dozier. A
multi hyphenate saxophonist, composer, and curator, he grew up
performing in the Leimert Park community, receiving private lessons
from Ricky Washington and learning from legends like Reggie Andrews,
who helped shape artists such as Kamasi Washington and Terrace Martin.
Kobie recently completed his undergraduate studies in Contemporary
Music at The New School in New York City and is now emerging as one of
Los Angeles rising artists. Join us at The Miracle Theater for his one
night only performance of his debut album Nnamdi. Blending jazz, soul,
R&B, and highlife, the project is a tribute to his ancestry, culture,
and city, reflecting his roots and voice as a West Coast artist shaped
by the African diaspora. Kobie is joined by his full working band, a
vocal section, and special guests. Born on the East Coast and raised
