Foodie Farmers will learn to care for our garden and enjoy the
bountiful harvest! Students will make delicious seasonal recipes
incorporating freshly harvested ingredients and learn basic cooking
skills, techniques for safely working with cooking tools, and how to
measure and follow a recipe. Every class will contribute the recipe of
the day to a class cookbook that students can take home at the end of
the session. The class will also incorporate hands-on garden work
where we will learn how to do seasonal garden care including seeding,
transplanting, harvesting, and building healthy soil. Come join us for
a delicious good time! Please note: recipes may include gluten, dairy,
eggs, nuts. Please discuss any food allergies in advance. Students in
this program are: Able to follow verbal directions in an outdoor
environment Open to trying new foods Up for hiking minimum 1 mile with
a full backpack Willing to participate in group activities Ready to be
outside in all weather conditions and get dirty
