Geologist's Walk Around Lake Merritt

In a vigorous 3.6-mile walk around Lake Merritt, I'll show you the Ice Age landscape underneath and explain the lake's million-year history. Limited to 25 people. We will meet at the podium under the gateway to Children's Fairyland, under the new stainless steel signage and next to the entrance to Lakeside Park. Please be ready for a brisk walking pace on paved surfaces. We will stop at restrooms and water fountains. Park inside Lakeside Park or along or near Grand Avenue. The 12 bus line stops here, at Grand and Bellevue.
