Cue the red, white, and woo! Celebrate an All-AMERICAN FOURTH OF JULY
ABOARD THE MAJESTIC QUEEN MARY IN LONG BEACH WITH A FULL DAY OF LIVE
ENTERTAINMENT, family-friendly activities, delicious food, games,
dancing, a WWII aircraft flyover, and more on Friday, July 4, 2025
from 3 – 10 p.m. This star-spangled CELEBRATION WILL SPAN THE ENTIRE
SHIP, offering something for all ages to enjoy, culminating with
Southern California’s most spectacular fireworks display lighting up
the LONG BEACH skyline.
“This year’s 4th of July celebration will be unlike anything
we’ve done before,” shared Dylan Matteson, Director of
Experiences, The Queen Mary. “From 1910’s old time flare to a
groovy disco party to a glow-in-the-dark bar and a country tailgate,
visitors will travel through time while enjoying one of the -most
iconic destinations on the West Coast. It will be a one-of-a-kind
celebration and we’re thrilled to invite families and friends aboard
the Queen Mary for a day filled with joy, entertainment, and patriotic
spirit.”
Each deck and venue aboard the ship will represent a different decade,
from the 1910s all the way to the 2020s. Guests can try classic
carnival games at the 1910s Old Time Fair on the Sports Deck, join a
1960s Beach Bash on the Verandah Deck with contests, dancing, and a
WWII aircraft flyover, or party in the Royal Salon’s 80s–90s Glow
Bar complete with blacklights and music. The Bow will host a 2000s Hip
Hop Day Party with a Graffiti Station, while the world-famous
Observation Bar becomes a groovy 70s disco. The 2020s Social Media
Lounge rounds out the time-traveling fun with plenty of
Instagram-worthy moments.
For those who want to upgrade their experience, VIP ticket holders
will gain access to exclusive lounges including a 1920s Gatsby Garden
Party, a 1950s Sock Hop with an Elvis impersonator and dancers, a
2010s Country Tailgate Buffet and live band, and access to a hidden
1930s Speakeasy. Guests can also reserve tables on the Capstan Deck
for prime fireworks viewing or opt-in to the late-night Silent Disco.
As the night draws to a close, the Queen Mary will deliver what is
widely considered the best fireworks show on the West Coast. At 9
p.m., the sky above the ship will erupt in a dazzling 15-minute
display of vibrant colors, perfectly choreographed to a patriotic
soundtrack creating an unforgettable finale to a day filled with
all-American celebration.
