5:30 - 6:45 WEEKLY ONLINE GROUP MEDITATION - FREE5:30 Welcome. The
introduction format has changed now because we're getting bigger
numbers attending online. Which means there is not enough time for
everyone to introduce themselves so fully. If the group is under 12
(today was 22, so that's not happening) we take our time, but with
this bigger group we will be making intros very brief. The long
version goes like this: We start with everyone introducing themselves
and sharing their thoughts on the question of the week. Which varies,
but might be something like, "how have you benefited from meditation?"
or "What was a favorite experience from your childhood." This group
sharing is always fun and brings the group closer together. The short
version is 50% of that. I'll improvise.
5:50 Mantra chanting. Online, we're using a beautiful recording, but
I'm figuring out how to do this live without distortion or audio
quality issues. This kind of musid really helps you get into the mood
for meditation, so this is often peoples favorite part.
6:00 Short guided meditation followed by silent meditation.
6:20 Spiritual discourse on some aspect of meditation practice or yoga
philosophy and answers to questions.
