The LOS ALTOS Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will
host a FREEDAR GENEALOGY/LINEAGE WORKSHOP
… to assist women 18 years of age or older who are interested in
joining the DAR. The Daughters of the American Revolution is a
nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s volunteer service organization
dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, and
patriotism.
The WORKSHOP WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 1:00pm - 5:00pm. on Sunday, January
26, 2020, at the Los Altos Library located at 13 S San Antonio Rd, Los
Altos, CA 94022 in Los Altos, California.
The workshop is open and free to any woman interested in joining the
DAR. Attendees will have the opportunity to work with experienced
genealogists.
If you are interested and able to attend, please bring any
documentation you have collected so far: birth, marriage and death
certificates for you, your parents, and grandparents, and any other
family documentation to show your lineage. If you haven't started to
collect any family documentation yet, please come and learn about the
steps needed to document your lineage (your direct bloodline descent
from your ancestors). Members of the chapter will be present to help
answer any questions you may have, assist you with some of your
research, and help with the application process.
Reservations are not required but would be helpful for planning
purposes. For additional information, contact Donna Santistevan at
