SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING TO TEACH THE COMMUNITY HOW TO IDENTIFY
SUICIDE RISK AND TO APPROACH WITH CULTURAL RESPONSIVENESS. At Project

will provide a culturally-tailored training on suicide prevention.
After this 2-hour training, you are also invited to debrief and dine
with PSN for an hour.
Note: This training is called BE SENSITIVE, BE BRAVE: SUICIDE
PREVENTION
3:30pm - 5:30pm TRAINING
5:30pm - 6:30pm DEBRIEF
From the course: learn to identify signs of suicide, practice
sensitively and confidently asking individuals if they're considering
suicide, and learn how to connect individuals to resources and
community supports. This workshop will address navigating suicide
across diverse populations and how to be culturally responsive in
approaching suicide.
TRAINING GOALS
* Learn culturally responsive techniques for identifying suicide risk
among community members
* Learn to identify the appropriate resources to connect individuals
at risk of suicide
* Learn to approach suicide prevention in a culturally sensitive
manner
After the training, Project Safety Net will facilitate a debrief and
conversation on the role of culture in SUICIDE PREVENTION FROM 5:30pm
- 6:30pm_. _We encourage training participants to join us - dinner
will be provided.
