DTLA Walking Tour - The Biddy Mason Black Entrepreneurs Tour

Welcome to Downtown LOS ANGELES!Join me as we visit our community's beloved African American entrepreneurs.  We'll start at the BIDDY MASON MEMORIAL PARK, where we will learn about Bridget "BIDDY" MASON, one of the first African American women ever to own land. Born a slave, Biddy Mason successfully petitioned for her own freedom in California, after which she worked as a midwife and then started several businesses in Downtown Los Angeles amassing a fortune of nearly $6M by today's currency.
