Embodied Carbon in the AEC Industry

Increasing awareness and early stage project integration of Life Cycle Assessment is pivotal to looking beyond operational CARBON EMISSIONS IN THE AEC INDUSTRY.The BHoM’s Climate Emergency Toolkit (available in Grasshopper, Dynamo and Excel) contains several open source tools for quantifying building materials (from Rhino, Revit, ETABs, etc), capturing their environmental impacts and comparing it to benchmark values. These tools were developed in the spirit of the methods within AIA’s COTE Top Ten Toolkit. We hope this forum will provide valuable community participation in shaping tools that are best suited for architects and engineers.
