In November, 1919 famed writer Franz Kafka composed a forty-five page
typewritten letter to his father, Hermann, in an attempt to reconcile
their lifelong conflicts and differences. Kafka’s letter, though
highly critical in nature, was deeply personal yet also humorously
self-deprecating as he struggled to find common ground with his
notoriously authoritarian patriarch who ultimately never received or
read it. LETTER TO MY FATHER is Larry Cedar’s third one-man stage
adaptation. His previous works, ORWELLIAN and Dostoevsky’s NOTES
FROM THE UNDERGROUND each won awards for Best One Man Performance and
Best Director of a One Man Play (Pamela Cedar) at the NoHo Fringe
Theater Festival. Adult - $10.00
