Feminist.AI at Mutable Studio is pleased to announce _Encoding Ourselves_, a new project engaging with the research of Professor Safiya Umoja Noble presented in her book _Algorithms of Oppression_. Join Feminist.AI along with partner organizations and community members from Women's Center for Creative Work, Supplyframe DesignLab, Queerious, CalArts, CalTech, UCLA, and USC in an effort to envision a more equitable digital world through community-based critical making. The project commences on February 22nd with a workshop hosted by Mutable Studio in LOS ANGELES and Queerious Labs in San Francisco. Professor Safiya Umoja Noble and community organizers will describe the core themes of_ Algorithms of Oppression_, investigating the ways in which these systems reflect and reinforce injustice. These active research projects will run from Feb 22 through April, culminating in a show in May. We have a few more spaces for community partners, as well as space for participants for the 22nd.
