Pick Up for PARADISE IS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN FROM THE HEART TRIBE AND
HEAL THE BAY TO HELP RESTORE THE NATURAL HABITAT OF OUR BEACHES AND
OCEAN BY PICKING UP FOREIGN OBJECTS.From the Heart Tribe, has made a
commitment to organize several events in 2018 in order to adopt the
Santa Monica Beach through the California Coastal Commission.
Pollution in our wondrous oceans is a serious problem with
consequences for both humankind and marine life. Trash is accumulating
in California’s streams, rivers and dumping into the ocean at such
an alarming rate it is impacting wildlife, aquatic life, public health
and as a whole, our planetary ecosystem.
During our efforts to Pick Up For Paradise we will be collecting and
recording data (plastic and foreign debris) to help advance
environmental legislation.
EVENT DETAILS:
• Please wear layers and sun protection.
• Wear closed-toe shoes to make sure you don’t step on anything
sharp
• Drinking water (non-plastic reusable bottle) - If you bring a
plastic water bottle to the beach, our beloved fitness teachers:
Jaclyn Winters, Sparrow Heatley or Maria Bertrand will make you do 20
PUSHUPS- seriously!

Please park at the Nordstrom’s parking structure at 1320 4th, Santa

Tower 1550
