Who are your best teachers in the workplace? If you’re like most civic staffers, it’s your peers. And, every time we bring together government innovators, the knowledge-sharing and connections made cannot be matched by any lecture or presentation. That’s why we created Socrata Regional Communities of Practice. Taking place across the country and covering topics that matter to you, these “unconference” events provide a space to meet, information to spark a conversation, and time to think things through together. The second Southern California Community of Practice is hosted by the City of Los Angeles and led by Riverside County. Together they’ve identified a common issue impacting governments across the region: civic engagement and municipal finance. The event will provide a forum for intergovernmental partnerships to foster and promote innovation. Bring your toughest questions and brightest insights. Your peers are waiting for you. This event is free and open to anyone working in public sector.
