Plemons nails his first leading role, and a never-better Shannon provides the film with unwavering warmth and humanity, as well as her trademark comic timing. A stellar supporting cast full of familiar faces, including Bradley Whitford ("The West Wing"), Zach Woods ("Silicon Valley"), and John Early (FORT TILDEN), does the rest of the dramatic -- and comedic -- heavy lifting.
