The GRAMMY Museum will welcome legendary bluesman Walter Trout for an in-depth conversation moderated by Scott Goldman followed by a performance. Walter Trout’s special brand of guitar-based blues rock has led him to global tours as a solo artist. After years as a sideman with John Mayall, the Bluesbreakers, and Canned Heat, Walter has enjoyed playing his emotional brand of fired-up, hardcore guitar-heavy music, writing and recording his own songs for over 30 years.
Trout released his latest album Survivor Blues to critical acclaim in January 2019. The album, a selection of Blues covers, is no ordinary covers album for the legendary bluesman, who over the course of the last several decades has been a prolific artist, releasing 28 albums as a solo artist. The track listing of Survivor Blues is a window into the 67-year-old’s fast-moving backstory, chronicling a five-decade career whose one constant is his deep love of the Blues.
