Easter Sunday Services - All Are Welcome!

The local Palo Alto congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites anyone to join us for our annual Easter Sunday Services (9am) to celebrate the central figure in our religion - The Risen Jesus Christ! What you can expect: FLOWERS - Lots of them! Our building will be completely overflowing with greens and blooms. MUSIC - Featuring brass and bells and cymbals, every last pipe on the organ, and many exuberant voices singing. It will culminate with us all singing Handel's immortal The Hallelujah Chorus . TESTIMONIES OF THE RISEN JESUS CHRIST SACRAMENT - We bless and distribute bread and water to the congregation in remembrance of Jesus Christ's sacrifice. Visitors are welcome but not required to participate. DOVES - We'll set these birds to flutter. They'll circle, find their bearings and fly homeward, leaving us to ponder our own eternal journey. REFRESHMENTS - Enjoy many variations of risen/sweet breads. How should you dress ? Come however you feel comfortable. (Suits and dresses are common but not required). We suggest light/bright colors to celebrate the most astonishing, extraordinary thing ever uttered by human lips: Jesus Christ is risen!
