Bryan Scary & the Shredding Tears at The Chapel - Thursday, May 1 2025 | Discotech

This marks the first live appearance of Bryan Scary and his original band The Shredding Tears for over a decade!

Beginning with their debut in 2006, Scary and co. have released a series of giant concept records, including cult favorite Flight of the Knife. They took their glammy theatrical stage show across the country in the late 2000s/early 2010s, and they became known in NYC for crazy Halloween parties and proggy, caffeinated, costumed performances.

After relocating from NYC to LA, Scary and bandmate Giulio Carmassi teamed up to compose for film/TV. Highlights of their work include “Black Bear” starring Aubrey Plaza and “By Design” with Juliette Lewis & Melanie Griffith (which just premiered at Sundance).

Scary’s most recent album Birds was released in 2019 -  never played live until now. He’s currently finishing two new albums, and can’t wait to get back onstage with the fellas!
