COURSE TOPICS INCLUDE: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers
and semi-automatic PISTOLS, ammunition knowledge and selection, PISTOL
SELECTION AND STORAGE, SHOOTING FUNDAMENTALS, PISTOL INSPECTION AND
MAINTENANCE, marksmanship, and SHOOTING RANGE SAFETY. Additionally,
students will complete live fire training and a nationally
standardized SHOOTING QUALIFICATION WHILE ON THE RANGE WITH AN NRA
CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR. Students will receive the NRA Guide: BASICS OF
PISTOL SHOOTING HANDBOOK, take a BASICS OF PISTOL SHOOTING STUDENT
EXAMINATION AND RECEIVE A COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE BEARING THE
SIGNATURE OF THE NRA SECRETARY AND YOUR NRA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR.
Additional range fees apply. Firearm rentals are available at the
range for a nominal fee. You do not need to be a gun owner to attend
this course.
Class Starts on Saturday at 9:00 AM
Range will be after the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course-ILT.
The time schedules are as follows:
Saturday from 9am to 6pm.
For the class portion please bring:
Notepad, Pen, Pencil and Highlighter. No live ammo in the classroom.
For the range portion of the class:
If available bring your own handgun with 2 magazines, Eye and Ear
Protection. Ammo must be purchased at the range.
If you need to reschedule a course you must contact us 24 hours prior
to start time of course to reschedule. The first $50.00 of your
payment is a deposit fee. All deposit fees are non-refundable it is
for your course materials and to secure your seat in the class. If we
(AAPT) have to cancel this course we will gladly offer to refund you
the amount you paid for this course.
