Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training prepares local residents to help themselves, their families and neighbors in the event of a disaster.
The training covers basic skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services may not be available. CERT members receive training in earthquake awareness, disaster fire suppression techniques, disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue, as well as team organization and management.
The CERT Class Series consists of 5 evenings (Tuesday & Thursdays from 6:30-9:30pm) and one Saturday (Field Day from 1:00-5:00pm). Attendance at all 6 dates is required for certification.
All evening CERT classes are held in the auditorium at the Police/Fire Administration Building at 1000 Villa Street in Mountain View. The Saturday Field Day/Graduation is held at Fire Station #4; 229 N Whisman Street in Mountain View.

Saturday 5/30: 1:00-5:00pm - Field Day Disaster Simulation (at Fire Station #4)
This training course is open to individuals who live or work in the City of Mountain View.
