The Last Coho Exhibition Opening

A free OPENING RECEPTION FOR THE LAST COHO, an EXHIBITION BY KAARE IVERSON DOCUMENTING CRITICAL WORK TO RESTORE RUSSIAN RIVER'S COHO SALMON Join us on Thursday, September 24 from 6:30 - 8:30pm at the David Brower Center for the opening reception of THE LAST COHO, an exhibition by photographer Kaare Iverson exploring critical efforts to restore endangered coho salmon in the Russian River watershed. Combining large-scale salmon portraiture with documentary photography, Iverson draws attention to this iconic regional species as well as key rehabilitation and habitat improvement programs. Iverson will be joined by Dr. Jacob Katz, who holds a PH.D. in ecology from the UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences, for a conversation about salmon conservation in human-managed landscapes. Tasty refreshments will be served at this inspiring free event! EVENT DETAILS Held at the David Brower Center's Hazel Wolf Gallery at 2150 Allston Way in Downtown Berkeley. Light refreshments will be provided. Doors open at 6:30; artist talk will begin around 7pm. Free to attend and open to the public; advance reservation recommended.
